| Connecting to a CrossTec SchoolVue Student from more than one Tutor |
|
|
|
|
Summary
It is sometimes necessary to allow more than one CrossTec Tutor to view a Student at the same time. This is a standard feature of CrossTec Remote Control however to use this feature in CrossTec SchoolVue/Inform a parameter must be added to the Student configuration file. Details
On each of the Student computers that you would like to be able to connect to from more than one Tutor simultaneously you must do the following:
- Open the folder that you installed CrossTec SchoolVue/Inform into, eg C:\Program Files\CrossTec SchoolVue/Inform
- Find and open the file called Client32.ini in a text editor such as Notepad
- Add the line Shared=1 to the [Client] Section of the Client32.ini file and save it
- You will now have to re checksum the Client32.ini file using the utility CKSINI.EXE - For more detailed information on how to do this please refer to the following article Manually editing the Client32.ini file
- For the change to take effect you will need to restart each Client for the changes to take effect.
If all of your Student machines have the same Client32.ini set-up you could amend one as detailed above and then distribute the file using CrossTec SchoolVue/Inform to the other Student machines.
